Today's Menu: Carbombs!

So you're sitting around the front yard talking to some of the soldiers that work around when suddenly: KA-BOOM.

Everybody scans the horizon and finally somebody says "There, To the North!"

A black splash of smoke...pretty far away...can't see EXACTLY where it is. Then (20 Mins later) Three more go off in quick succession.

Hmmmm...

Was the First one a fluke, Perhaps some bad guy (we can ONLY HOPE) "Do I push the Red button First or the Green button? BOOM !!
(Too BAD.)

Or Maybe.... The OTHER 3 people have cheap watches. "Hey, I'm going out to blow up some Infidels..." "O.K. But do NOT wear your GOOD Watch!" "Yes, Mom!"

Ok.... Maybe NOT. Hot day, explosive fumes, guy has to get one more cigarette to 'calm' down (or PSYCH UP), flicks his BIC....BOOM.

Ooops! Not to Self, OTHER Homicide Bombers (Like they'll GET the AFTER ACTION Report), when it's 120 outside and the car has been sitting in the hot sun for 6 days waiting to be 'used' against the Infidels Bastards, the first thing you don't NEED is to flick your BIC. "Uhmmmm, WHAT is that HORRIBLE SMELL?"
Plastic Explosives, Do Not light up a cigarette!

125 degrees today. Another 'Toasty' Tikriti kinda of day.

Could be WORSE.... 35 below ZERO and getting Car-Bombed...
THAT would REALLY SUCK !

Sorry to hear about all the "toasty tikriti" car bombs and what not. Anywho, thanks for keeping us updated on what it's really like over there. It is especially useful for moi for I travel today for Germany where I'm sure the news will pay little attention to waht actually happens over there. Take care of yourself.

Fliegen Nach Deutschland

Dustin:

I do remember you. You have a older Mustang, don'y you?
Have a great time in Germany. They DO pay attention to 'stuff': London terror bombs, the latest Social Democratic Party scheme to stop cutting down trees... JUST a different SLANT on the point of view on the news. REALLY hard to follow though... In Journalistic German you get a LOTs of Passive Voice and Subjunctive Tense extremely LONG speeches with like 9 verbs at the end of the sentence. We used to joke in DLI (All-Service language school in Monterey, CA)
That all you had to do on a written was cross out half the sentence, saving ONLY the subject then 'furiously' translate the last three or four verbs at the end of the sentence. "Klaus... helping verb (sein or haben) blah, blah, blah (fill word) blah... could have been seen smoking. color in dot "B"

"Kleine Fische" "Small Fish"... Idiom generally means "Piece of cake, easy".

Just remember "Acht Beere, mein(e)Freund bezahlt!" Point to someone else. "Eight Beers, my friend is paying" [Indicate WHICH friend].

LMAO.

Good Beer, Good Friends (Acquaintances) and GOOD FOOD!

Enjoy. As an old Special Forces buddy of mine says: "Life is short". "It's even SHORTER, if you don't EAT!"
